Carryline (Zyntec) is built so your swing videos stay on your iPhone. This page explains which data the app handles, why, and who else is involved.

In short

No account is required and there is no sign-in.

Videos you record or import, the tracer lines, and the details you add to a shot (such as club, carry or total) are stored only on your device. We have no server that stores them, and ball detection runs entirely on your iPhone.

No advertising, no tracking (App Tracking Transparency), no analytics and no third-party crash reporting tools are used.

Data leaves your device only when you buy or restore Pro, and when you share or save a video yourself.

Camera and microphone

The camera and microphone are used only while you record. The sound of the club hitting the ball helps the app find the moment of impact; the audio is analysed on your device and kept only as part of your video.

Photos

When you import a video, you pick it in Apple's photo picker and the app receives only the video you choose; it does not get access to the rest of your library.

If you save an exported clip to Photos, the app asks for permission to add to your library. It can add clips, but it cannot read your library.

Storage and backups

Shot videos are kept in the app's private storage on your device. To keep your iCloud and computer backups small, they are excluded from device backups, so save or share any clip you want to keep before you delete the app or move to a new iPhone.

Your settings (for example language and handedness) are stored on your device.

Purchases

Payments are processed by Apple; your card details never reach us.

RevenueCat, Inc. is used to verify your Pro purchase. RevenueCat receives an anonymous ID generated by the app, your purchase and subscription records, the app version, device type and iOS version, your App Store country, and which purchase screen the purchase was made from. This is used only to unlock what you bought and to understand which purchase screens work. Details: www.revenuecat.com/privacy

Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app may schedule occasional reminders on your device. They are created on your iPhone; no push service or server is involved.

Crash reports

The app contains no crash reporting tool of its own. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements, Apple may share anonymous crash reports with us. You can turn this off at any time in the same place.

Sharing

Exported clips are sent only where you choose (for example Messages, AirDrop, social apps or Photos); they are not sent to us. Once shared, a clip is handled by the app or service you shared it with.

Retention and deletion

You can delete shots and sessions in the app at any time. Deleting the app deletes all of its data on your device.

If you want the anonymous purchase records at RevenueCat deleted, write to us; your purchase history is also kept by Apple.

Your rights

You can contact us to exercise your rights of access, correction and deletion under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar laws. Because your videos stay on your device, requests usually concern only the anonymous purchase records described above.

Children

Carryline is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If the app starts processing new data, this page is updated first; the date above shows the latest change.
